Repair warranty terms

Warranty coverage depends on the type of repair performed. Below are the confirmed terms that apply once your device is returned.

Screen repairs

90-Day Warranty

Screen repairs are covered for 90 days under the coverage rules below.

Internal hardware replacements

180-Day Warranty

Power jacks, logic boards, drives and other internal hardware replacements are covered for 180 days.

Battery repairs

1-Year Warranty

Battery repairs are covered for one year.

Maintenance and cleaning

30-Day Warranty

Maintenance, cleaning and thermal repaste are covered for 30 days, except on liquid-damaged devices.

What coverage includes

Warranty periods begin on local handover or return delivery. Coverage applies only to the service or part on the original repair record, not unrelated faults or new customer-caused damage.

Workmanship-related defects are covered for 100% of parts and labor. For manufacturer part failures not related to workmanship, replacement parts are covered.

Mail-in warranty shipping

For mail-in warranty evaluations and re-repairs, the customer pays both inbound and outbound shipping.

Contact us before sending a device for evaluation so we can match it to the original job and confirm the shipping instructions.

Tampering and warranty exclusions

Third-party repairs, customer disassembly or broken tamper-evident seals void the warranty. All parts and serialized jobs are logged against the repair record.

New physical damage, misuse and faults unrelated to our original work are not covered. Use approved chargers after charging repairs and a brand-new HDMI cable after HDMI repairs.

Liquid-damaged devices require an upfront, non-refundable diagnostic/cleaning fee, with the amount confirmed and approved before work begins. They are serviced strictly As-Is / No Warranty because latent corrosion can cause future failures. Data recovery is a separate paid service.

Approval and diagnosis

Standard intake is a $25 bench fee for intake and physical shelf space plus a $45 diagnostic fee covering the first 30 minutes of diagnostic bench time. Declined or unrepairable devices owe a flat $70, plus return shipping for mail-in orders.

When deeper repair or board-level work is needed beyond the first 30 minutes, approved shop labor continues in 20-minute increments at $40 per increment ($120/hour). We agree on hidden-damage and additional-work limits at intake before proceeding.

Formal approval is required before bench work through the portal, SMS, email, a recorded phone call or a physical intake form. The online range is a starting estimate, not a final quote.

If a device cannot be repaired

We explain what we found. The standard declined or unrepairable fee is $70 ($25 bench plus $45 diagnostic), with return shipping added for mail-in devices. Any liquid diagnostic/cleaning charge is agreed separately before that work.

Your data and privacy

We do not browse your personal files, photos or messages. We access only what is needed to test the device and confirm the repair.

Back up irreplaceable data before service. A reset may be needed, and data may not be recoverable when storage itself has failed. Data recovery is a separate paid service.

Coverage follows the service categories above. See our Terms of Repair. Questions about a repair you have already had done? Call or text 763-204-0411 with your reference number. Walk-ins, drop-offs and pick-ups are welcome at our Delano service location from 8:30 AM–7:30 PM, seven days a week. No appointment is required.

Warranty questions

Who pays mail-in warranty shipping?
For mail-in warranty evaluations and re-repairs, the customer pays both inbound and outbound shipping.
How are liquid-damaged devices handled?
Liquid-damaged devices require an upfront, non-refundable diagnostic/cleaning fee, with the amount confirmed and approved before work begins. They are serviced strictly As-Is / No Warranty because latent corrosion can cause future failures. Data recovery is a separate paid service. If undisclosed corrosion is found, work stops until you approve the liquid diagnostic terms.
Do your repairs come with a warranty?
Screens: 90 days. Internal hardware replacements, including power jacks, logic boards and drives: 180 days. Batteries: 1 year. Maintenance, cleaning and thermal repaste: 30 days. Liquid-damaged devices are As-Is / No Warranty. Workmanship-related defects are covered for 100% of parts and labor. For manufacturer part failures not related to workmanship, replacement parts are covered.
What is not covered?
Liquid-damaged devices, new physical damage and faults unrelated to the original service are not covered. Third-party repairs, customer disassembly or broken tamper-evident seals void the warranty. All parts and serialized jobs are logged.
Will you look through my files?
No. We only access what is needed to test the device and confirm the repair worked. Back up anything irreplaceable before service — that is good practice with any repair shop.
Could I lose my data during a repair?
Most repairs never touch storage. When the storage device itself is the fault, data may not be recoverable, which is why we ask you to back up first whenever the device still powers on.
