Game Console Repair in Delano, MN — and Nationwide by Mail

Consoles fail in a handful of predictable ways, and most of them are repairable. We work on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo systems — home consoles and handhelds — diagnosing the actual cause before anything gets replaced.

Bring the console to our Delano service location during business hours (8:30 AM–7:30 PM daily), or mail it in from anywhere in the contiguous United States. Either way you get a hands-on diagnosis and intake diagnostic approval and a firm repair price before repair work starts.

Typical starting range$110 – $232Starting estimate only. The final price is confirmed after we inspect the device. Diagnostic charges are approved at intake; repair work requires your approval.

Standard intake is a $25 bench fee for intake and physical shelf space plus a $45 diagnostic fee covering the first 30 minutes of diagnostic bench time. Declined or unrepairable devices owe a flat $70, plus return shipping for mail-in orders. When deeper repair or board-level work is needed beyond the first 30 minutes, approved shop labor continues in 20-minute increments at $40 per increment ($120/hour). We agree on hidden-damage and additional-work limits at intake before proceeding.

How the repair runs

Inspection first

We open the console, check for physical and liquid damage, and test power delivery and video output before forming an opinion on the fault.

Port and board-level work

HDMI ports and charging ports are common failure points and are replaceable. We tell you plainly if a fault sits deeper on the board than a port swap.

Cleaning and thermal service

Overheating consoles usually need dust removal and fresh thermal compound. We test under load afterwards rather than assuming it is fixed.

Testing before it goes back

The console gets run through video output, disc, controller, and network checks before we call the repair done.

Before you drop off or ship

  • Leave games, discs, and memory cards out of the box — send only the console.
  • Include the power cable if the problem is power-related, and the controller if the fault involves controllers.
  • Note your gamertag or account only if the fault is account-related; we do not need your password.

Game Console Repair questions

What are your liquid-damage terms?
Liquid-damaged devices require an upfront, non-refundable diagnostic/cleaning fee, with the amount confirmed and approved before work begins. They are serviced strictly As-Is / No Warranty because latent corrosion can cause future failures. Data recovery is a separate paid service.
Can you replace an HDMI port on a console?
Yes — a damaged HDMI port is one of the most common console repairs we see and it is replaceable. We confirm the port is the actual fault during diagnosis, because a no-video symptom can also come from further along the video path.
My console overheats and shuts down. Is that fixable?
Usually. Shutdowns under load typically come from dust-blocked cooling and dried thermal paste. We clean the cooling path, reapply thermal compound, and then test the console under load before returning it.
Will I lose my saved games?
Our goal is always to return the device with your data intact, and most repairs do not touch storage. If the fault is the drive itself, data may not be recoverable — back up to the cloud beforehand whenever the console still powers on.
Do you fix drifting joysticks on handhelds?
Yes. Joystick drift on handheld systems is a wear issue on the stick module and it can be replaced. Bring or mail in the system and we will confirm which stick or sticks are affected.
Do you work on controllers on their own?
Yes — charging ports, sticks, and buttons on controllers are all repairs we take on. Submit the request form with the controller model and the symptom.
